So for my broadbands activation date do I need to do anything? The date got moved and I'm unsure whether I will be at the property when the line is activated. Can I just plug in my hub at any point afterwards and it will work or do I need to be there on the day?
Thanks in advance.

Assuming you are sure your telephone master socket is fully working (i.e. it was working for broadband until recently) then you should not need to be there. Personally, I would probably plug it in early, so the Openreach engineer can see it is working when they connect you up.
But if you prefer to wait till you get back, it should still work.

Yes, indeed it should work.

Is this a new build?
Is it on the openreach copper network?
A lot of new builds are fibre only and not copper, and some are on an exclusive set up - ie Virgin media only, or even an ISP owned by the developers such as Persimons FibreNest https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2021/06/persimmon-homes-criticised-over-fttp-broadband-monopol...
What do you see when you put the proprty details in here:
