Hi, I'm having to reset my router on a fairly regular basis as my devices report they're unable to connect to the internet. The 3 router LEDs are green but no internet?
I'd really like to install a better router, I've already got a a Netgear Nighthawk sitting spare but without the ADSL login details I can't use it! Is anyone else having WiFi problems with the standard router or do you know if I can get the login credentials??
Thanks

Below are some standard things you can and probably have done before calling the team.
Can I assume you've checked the status of your line in this link?

Have you done a factory reset to the router indicated in the link below?https://help.nowtv.com/article/improve-broadband-speed
You need to call the broadband team. See link for number.

This link also shows any planned outages as well wide spread faults.

Without a doubt, using your own router is the best choice. However the router will need to be compatible with Sky_MER authentication for easy configuration. Most TP-Link and ASUS VDSL routers are, but I don't know about your Netgear. Is it actually ADSL/VDSL(i.e. does it have a modem)

A quick search shows that the night hawk "may" be able to connect you will / may need the latest firmware update.
You will need to select MER or option 610 as the connection method, the username/password while needs to be in the correct format is largely irrelevant, this is what i use on my (tp link) router
Username : abcefgh at nowtv ( replace the at with an @ symbol and remove the spaces )
Password: 1234567890abcdef

edit to the above (as the forum wont let me edit the post)
"You will need to select MER or option 610 "
Should read as "You will need to select MER or option 61" that is Sixty-one, not Six one zero.
