With respect, you're over simplifying the issue Gary.
There are dozens of models of LG televisions. Each model runs a different build of software according to it's installed memory, cpu, operating system and feature-set. As a further complication, LG now offers several models of television that run using a different 'operating system'.
So however angry you are, it's always helpful to offer as much detailed information as you can.
