When to you start getting internet?

Getting my now tv router installed on Friday between 8-1 and was wondering if I will instantly get internet as soon as the engineer does their thing? 
I have heard with some providers that their might be a delay in the internet working…

To follow-up from @Jayach did you get a visit from an OpenReach engineer?

You should have a nosy as you'll have been given a go live date.

You don't get your router installed, you get the service connected (or installed if you have no BT/Openreach sockets already)

The Openreach engineer may well connect the router for you if they visit the premises as a courtesy, but that is not their primary job.
