Catch up / on demand

Hi all, I just brought the now tv smart stick hd & voice control. The issue I have is that is I use bbc iplayer, ITV hub, all 4 and my5 that it seems to only play them in standard definition which looks terrible. Netflix plays on hd no problem. These apps seem to play in hd on other devices. Do those apps just not have the facility to play content in hd? So far im rather disappointed in now tv.

Hi @Anonymous User 

 

I don't use a NowTV Stick, but my NowTV smart box with regards to BBC iPlayer and the All 4 App plays in HD for me.

 

In in the BBC iPlayer App settings you need to change the picture quality from SD to HD (under Settings & Help, then select Video Quality to Best Quality).

 

In the All 4 App settings you need to go to settings, Video Quality, then select Higher Quality.

 

With regards to the ITV Hub & My 5 App it has poor picture quality (ie SD) and there is no way of improving it to HD on the current App version supplied by ITV & My 5 (which NowTV have no control over).
