getting message saying cannot play in your country

Ive got a 6 month contract and i cant watch anything, it wont sign in on the xbox app then signs in on browser and says cannot play in your country.

Have you down a power down of your router for 30 minutes?

Check the IP address that GiffGaff has assigned you and see if it come up as a UK one.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

This does sound like you bought a UK subscription and you are trying to play it in Eire, or vice versa.

Is this possible? What area are you in at the moment?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
