Video Playback Does Not Initiate on ipad

Hi

i can't seem to get any playback on iOS 10.1 on ipad.

i can use the app and browse movies but after playing it just hangs and won't start

i can move the play bar to later in the movie and I get a still frame of the movie but still won't play.

everything is working on my pic using a browser

this has only started to happen in the last 24 hours and I'm not using a modified iPad or a vpn

any ideas?

I've just realised that I can't get sky go to work either so it may be a device issue not an app issue

All ok 

I rebooted the iPad and now working ok
