How can I close my account and remove my details? I don't want my details to be stored after trial

Hi,

How can I remove all my details from the NowTV website. It states that my account will be reactivated I watch another movie. I don't want this option. I want all my details (credit card, address, email etc) deleted after the trial has ended.

Thanks

Surely it shouldn't be this difficult to remove your own credit/debit card details - it should be made available from inside your account.

<Andy>

With regards to removing your card, it's best to leave this on file as it will allow you to access the free to air on demand apps on your box e.g BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, as well as making it easy to purchase any passes you want in the future.

</Andy>

Why should you need to have your card details on the account to be able to access the free stuff - that seems crazy IMO.

Please consider this my request to have my card details removed.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous User

We can remove your card details for you , however as has been mentioned you are required to have a valid NOW TV Account to use the NOW TV Box so you would loose access to this and the app's available on it.

Please let us know how you wish to proceed

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy-S,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

So, if I get this straight, removing my payment details will render my
Account invalid?? I've never heard such nonsense. Why do Sky have to be so
difficult/different to everyone else? Why should this invalidate an Account?

If I choose to remove my payment details then I cannot use the NOW TV box *at
all* - is that what you are saying? Not even as a free-to-air box?

Thanks,
Scott

@Anonymous User the NOW TV box is intended to be used to watch NOW TV content. It's a heavily subsided Roku box, which you'd need to spend at least £60 just to get the same hardware.

Hi artesea,

Thank you for providing this information.

Do I take it, therefore, that without any pass/subscription on your box,
there is absolutely nothing to watch on them, no free channels, anyway?

I can see why so many people want their details removing, considering the
number of posts about them frivolously billing customers that have already
cancelled their subscription. It certainly doesn't instil any confidence in
keeping your details on your account.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous User

Now TV subscriptions only apply to the now TV stuff. You would still be able to use all the third-party apps, including the catch up apps from the free to air broadcasters. However, in order for a now TV box to work it has to be linked to an active now TV account in order for an account to be active. You have to have a valid payment method on file, but you don't need an active now TV subscription

Hope that helpsSmiley Happy

I do not work for Now . I am simply a Now customer trying to help I am a Community Contributor This means that I know a lot about the service. But just like you I am still a customer. This means I cannot help you with issues that would involve looking into your account directly. A member of the now TV forum team or live chat will need to assist you with these issues.
