Cancellation Fee?

I cancelled my account in January which was set to be renewed in March. The direct debit is set up for the 16th of each month and I pay 27 pound under the current contract. My last direct debit has been taken and NOW TV upped the direct debit to 38.50. Anyone else had this issue?

You need to take this up with Now Broadband on whatever phone number you cancelled on.

For your last direct debit, did they take £38.50, or just £27.00?

As £27-worth of £38.50 would get you to, roughly, 4 March - might that be Now’s thinking here?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

@redchiz1 I didn’t cancel before my membership ended. I opted to not renew my contract and for it to expire on the 4th of March. So there should be no cancellation fee 😞

You need to call them to cancel your broadband. Opting not to renew the contract doesn't cancel your service altogether.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help
