Can't cast from iPhone.

As the title suggests. I am able to watch now to on my iPhone, iPad and lg tv.
However when I try to cast now to to our Sony tv it very rarely works. I have cast to the to before successfully but it often displays the message "somethings not right. Give it a moment of check nowtv.com/status for updates".
On occasions the app completely shuts down when it try to cast.
I have repeatedly re installed the app. Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot to mention that the cast launches fine. It's only when I try to play a film that i get the message. The tv shows the selected film is loading but then it doesn't play.

Just to confirm is it a Sony Android TV you're trying to cast to or are you using something like Chrome Cast or Apple TV?

That is correct. It's a Sony android.
