Using own router

I have my own router to use my broadband. What settings and login details do I put into my router?

You need to clone the mac on the sh itty nowtv/sky box.
You need to activate the sh itty option 60 and 61 from nowtv/sky.
At option 60 you need to input this stream: "2.90.2471.R|004|NR801|XXXXXXXXXXX" where xx represents the box id.

At option 61 you need to input this stream: "your-mac-address@nowtv|your-password.

These to bits can be found in the modem's login credentials.

You need to download wireshark and follow the steps I described here in my last post: https://community.nowtv.com/t5/Setup-Performance/Own-modem-router/m-p/537743#M6157

nowtv/sky are using this sh itty protocol called MER (mac encapsulation routing), supported by few devices in order to force you to keep their sh itty box so they can monitor your home network gathering data and doing what they do best with it...

I have used this method and have now connected:

ECI B-Focus V2Fub VDSL modem plus Cisco Linksys E3000 running dd-wrt (10-22-2020-r44627)

This gives me the option to have security updates, vlan configuration, guest Wi-fi and other benefits from dd-wrt.

I configured three things (but not sure if all 3 required):

* Cloned MAC address

* Vendor ID (Option 60)

* Client ID (Option 61)

@Anonymous UserDid you get your own router setup?
