Openreach appointment system

I've been trying to get now tv sorted since the beginning of December. 

 

Time line as follows:

 

14th Dec - Engineer shows up to flat, spends 3 hours and says there is an external issue and someone from BT will be in touch to fix within a few days. Nobody gets in touch and I ring everyday for an update and am told new visit will be 5th Jan (1pm to 6pm)

 

5th Jan - 8:30am engineer rings me trying to get into flat... Not living there without WiFi and only planned on popping in at 1pm to wait for him. 

 

I'm now forever emailing NowTv and keep getting dates pushed back because apparently Openreach has had an issue with their appointment system since 7th December. 

 

Will get an update in Feb apparently. 

 

Worst thing is that the speeds to my flat will be average 8mb anyway so is this even worth the hassle for 2 months of waiting.
