Unable to open channel 4 app.

Error message All-008. I have updated settings. 
Also not working going straight from programme search.

You have labelled this "Sony."  If it is a Sony smart TV that is giving you the problem then you are best reaching out to them. Or Channel 4.

Puzzled by you seeing  ‘Sony’, since on this iPad, I wasn’t seeing ‘Sony’ anywhere, I tried the Chrome browser instead of my usual Safari.

And there it was!

It looks like Now need to fix how the Community appears in Safari 😢

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

What device are you using? 

If it’s a Sony Bravia Android TV then you only have two options;

1. Clear app cache

2. Factory reset 

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

This is a forum dealing with the Now service, and app - and in this particular section the NOW app as appearing on Smart TV and Set Top Boxes.

Unfortunately nobody here can really comment about an unrelated app thats on your (presumably) Sony smart TV.

Though im sure the friendly lot here will probably give you some rudimentary advice you are best off finding a forum that deals with your platform, or Channel4 as its their app that you are having a problem with.
