@Anonymous User-nadger you should be able to replicate by changing the display setting to either SD or HD even whilst using HDMI. You'll just need to play some content to see.
I did replicate the problem a while back using different settings but quite honestly I've only ever connected LT with it set correctly to 720p using HDMI in over 3 years.
