Connection

Hi,

We’ve recently moved and have new WiFi and now I cannot connect the now box to my tv?! It just turns black on the tv screen not taking us to any setup screen. It’s a very old black now box, is this why?

Try doing a factory reset to the box.

Thank you, but I can’t even get to the setting menu though. The screen just turns black straight after the now symbol.

You don’t need the settings menu. It can be done using the reset button at the back of the box. Expand this section to see what to do.

If you prefer to do a physical reset, here's how.

I tried it but it’s still just going black. Think I need a new box/stick

You won’t be able to get any new devices from NOW as they don’t even make them let alone sell them I’m afraid. If you went to complain they wouldn’t be able to do much for you. 

Getting a suitable device for watching NOW can be cheap. My recommendations are either a Roku stick or Amazon fire stick.

Have you tried another HDMI cable or another port on the TV or another TV altogether?

Oh really? It is very very old. I’ve just tried the other Now box we had upstairs and it’s working 🙂 so the other one is definitely broken. Thank you for your help 🙂
