I’ve had the same problem both on my iPhone 7 and now on my iPhone 11. I haven’t been able to play content on my device for more than a year. I’ve also done everything from restarting, deleting, reinstalling, resetting my phone, obviously getting a new phone and it just doesn’t seem to work. This happens with ALL shows that I’ve tried to watch. Not just one show. Yet somehow it’s capable of working on my other devices including chromecast through my phone.
