New Billing up £20

Hello,

I was previously charged £26.50 per month and this month the charge has went up £46.50! This is ridiculous! It's just for basic broadband with very slow to sometimes non existent broadband. I have tried phoning Now TV after approx. 8.45am and was told their lines are closed even though they are advertised from 8am 24/7. I am on 'legacy benefits' and I'm currently due to move to UC later this month. I would like to move to the social tariff. Is there anyway I can do this?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Have you been a customer of Now broadband for more than 12 months? It sounds like your minimum term "discount" has expired also known as contract ending/out of contract, and you are now on the standard rate.

If you can answer that then you can get some more help in understanding what could have happened, however a lot of people come on here just to rant and giving further info to ranters who never return is a waste of time
