Do I need a BT phone account to use Now Broadband

Hi, I would like to start using Now Broadband for a 6 month period - but I do not know if I need an active BT account to do so.

I have just moved into a rental property and there is a BT line to the house (I just checked with BT) but I don't have any sort of BT account and was hoping not to need one.

I just want Now Broadband - no other media services. I don't even want a telephone landline.

All information is welcomed.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous User

To use NowTV Broadband you need an active telephone line on the BT Openreach network.

You don't need to be a BT customer where everything is organised and billed through NowTV

If you are in a rental property then you may need to get permission from your Landlord first (depending on your rental contract agreement in place).

Hi @schnapps

Thanks for the answer. It seems like I will be ok to go ahead and order the service then as there is a BT line - but if I won't need to be a BT customer I should be good to go.

Thanks very much.
