Phone number transfer not completed

I signed up to Broadband and talk. The engineer came on 24th march and the broadband went live. The new phone number was supposed to replace my old Virgin landline number. But I still have my virgin number, the Now landline number doesn't go to my house, and I have been billed twice, once by virgin and once by Now. I emailed customer service several times and no response.

In the current crisis there is no phone support. what am I supposed to do. I set up now landline for my mother who is 80 so she wouldn't need to worry about call charges, but being billed twice is rubbish.

Are Now responsible for my new virgin bill, as my account says the phone is up and running.
