As we (just other customers here) frequently explain, Now don’t do the due diligence that would validate the bill payer for a given broadband line as a resident at the address in question. And there are all sorts of reasons why somebody would pay the broadband bill or bills for places they don’t live.
Accordingly, it is not proof of residence 😢
Maybe try them with a mobile phone bill?
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
