Impossible to contact anyone to discuss cancellation. The website sends the user round in circles actually asking them to undertake functions that are not on the site. I want a postal address for complaints or an email. I spend over 30 hours trying to get set up and don't want to do that same in cancelling.

Cancel what? Streaming Memberships you can cancel for yourself, in My Account.
But if it’s broadband, phone numbers are:-
0330 041 2518, 0330 041 2462, 0800 759 1213 or 0330 332 3050
Or you can email
customerservices@ NowTV.com (omitting the space added there to stop the Community software eating the email address).
Depending on where you are in a contract, if you are in one, you may have to pay an early termination fee, but this is something you could discuss with them more advantageously over the phone.

You need to explain exactly what you're trying to cancel. There are two types of products that NOW provide, TV and broadband.
As @RoyB they are managed VERY differently.
For TV this link will explain everything including where you took the membership out to begin with.
