stream from my Roku box

Is it possible I can connect my Roku (NOWTV) BOX to my router and access and watch TV on my laptop when I am away from home?

Yes, if you get a Slingbox. No, in terms of the capabilities of the Roku to send its signal out over the internet to you, wherever you are, unaided.

But you are over-thinking it. Download the NowTV App, either the browser one or the Microsoft Store one, to your laptop, and whenever you are away, just connect the laptop to whatever local WiFi you can get, and watch NowTV over the app you put on the laptop.

This will work in the UK indefinitely, and in the EU, currently, for up to 30 days. But go further afield, and you will need a Slingbox to placeshift, or SmartDNS, or a VPN NowTV can’t detect.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
