poor upload performance (not speed)

Hi,

I livestream on twitch and like to mainly play FIFA. My issue is that no matter what bitrate I stream in, 1500, 2000, 3000, etc. my game struggles with ping jitter.

My upload speed is 7.2Mbps and using 2000kbps bitrate uses not even half of my upload bandwidth so playing online whilst streaming shouldn't be an issue.

I will use FIFA as an example:

not streaming : solid 12-14 ping, no issues. no fluctuation.

Streaming at any speed:

20 ping, rising to the 70s, dropping to 30ish and bouncing all over the place, causing visible lag.

These ping numbers might not sound a lot for most games but for FIFA, trust me, it's a major issue to the point where I can't stream and play. The fluctuation in ping is really detrimental.

I decided to purchase a network switch so that I could configure QoS in order to give my game priority in sending and receiving packets. This has not fixed the problem.

I would understand if I were maxing out my upload speed whilst streaming but as I said, it happens even when using just 1.5 of the 7.2 upload
