Now tv on PlayStation

Hi

When ever I want to turn my PLAYSTATION controller off when watching now TV, it takes me back to the menu and stops what I’m streaming.

I had this issue on the ps4 and now again in the ps5. 

I have to leave my controller on and it’s always dying because of this.

Does anyone know what I can do or what’s causing this?

Does it do this for other apps on the PlayStation?

If so, it would seem to be a PlayStation problem, and not a Now one.

Though it will be a Now issue if Now is the only app that does this.

Either way, it would be well worth posting your query on a PlayStation Community as well, if you can find one (Reddit?), see if anyone there knows anything about this.

Hiya, thanks for the reply.

It only happens with now TV. It’s the current updated version of the app too.

I’m not a Reddit user but will check out Sony support to see if they can assist, but it seems to be the app itself rather than the console.

Let us know if it does, also is there a setting to auto turn off if unused for a while?
