Have they actually go to do work in your property - e.g. fit a new BT Master socket? Otherwise, they may just carry out work on your behalf in the local cabinet, and you won’t even see them, will think they haven’t been when they have, as you being there may just be to cover the contingency that they do need to come on your property.
But this is Openreach we are talking about, not Ocado, and five hours is a pretty narrow timeslot for them and what they have to do 😢
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
