Why does now tv keep logging me out of my smart tv app?

Hi all, I have a hitachi smart tv with the now tv app already installed on it - every time I close NowTv it logs me out - there’s no “stay logged in” option and I don’t seem to be able to uninstall the app on the tv - any ideas? 

could this be because I’m signed in on another tv in the house? Is there a way to remain signed in on both?
