Despite trying to hang on to the NowTV app after it disappeared from the MS Store, I came to use it yesterday, and found just a placeholder telling me I had to use the vastly inferior UI of the browser/player combination. (Well, it didn’t call it ‘vastly inferior’, but I do).
So, as one door closes, another door slams in your face 😢
No doubt there are reasons for its demise, which I won’t speculate on here; but it looks like user considerations came in a poor last.
And I am wondering out loud if the MS Store app would have continued to work, if it had not been actively spiked?
Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
