NOW TV Smart Box - not able to wake up from network

I have my now tv smart box integrated with Control4, it works brilliantly and make life a lot easier with only one remote 🙂 ... however the smart box will not wake up after the box falls asleep Control4 cannot wake up this device. However the Now TV (small black box) using the same protcol with Control4 wakes up every time.

I have set the smart box to never sleep and also set the standard screensaver however it still sleeps, it will take a few hours to fall asleep...

Anybody got any suggestions?

The box will respond to a Wake On LAN command. You might want to see if you can get Control4 to send that to your Smart Box first.

It's a bit of a shame that the box does not 'wake up' when the HDMI input is selected on your TV (which is an option in the HDMI spec) 😉

A power on/off via an app would be useful for those with disabilities... who cannot use the physical remote. One solution is a power socket timer. It will allow the smart box to power up in the mornings.
