The nowtv stick shouldn't work on the nowtv boxes because the stick remote commands are over wifi (apart from the TV on/off and TV volume control adjust).
If you mean the USB port on your TV for power to the stick, then if so you can always use the supplied power adapter that comes with the stick instead that you plug into a mains power socket.
I am assuming your TV has a HDMI port because you are using it with the nowtv box ?
