My activation day was supposed to be on Friday the 12th of August
However, it has now be changed to the 26th!!
Can we come out of contract in order to get an other broadband company as I need Internet to work form home as soon as possible and they have not fulfilled their end of the contract?

You can cancel if you wish, but I suspect the only reason that the delay has arisen is because of the availability of Openreach engineers. Which will affect any other company from whom you order an ADSL/VDSL service.
Do you not have an existing service from another provider?
