My installation date is 3rd May and my current broadband contract will disconnect on 4th May. Would that be a problem? Should i delay installation til after disconnecting from current supplier?

No, do not change anything. Assuming your current supplier is also using Openreach there should be no problem.
Hope it all goes well, but there do seem to be a lot of posts on here where the Now install seems to get delayed.
