With the EU's content portability laws coming into effect on Sunday does this mean I'll now be able to take my laptop on holiday with me (assuming I holiday within the EU) and be able to watch my Now TV sports subscription?

You can watch for up to 30 days abroad before you need to watch something in the UK (guessing it doesn't have to be the same person!) and you won't be able to buy passes abroad so if you don't have a pass already running make sure you buy before you leave.

Yes, the same question about NowTV on an Apple TV. When I am abroad in Europe with my UK registered Apple TV (UK Region + UK Apple Id), will it be posible to buy and view?

NOW TV have confirmed on Twitter that viewing with EU member states will be available from 1st April.

Looks to be the other way around. You have to have watched in UK before you can watch in EU.Bought a Sky Sports Day or Week Pass while in the UK, but haven’t activated it yet?
You can activate your Sports Pass and start watching while roaming in any of the countries listed above, as long as you have a UK payment card registered on your account and you’ve watched NOW TV in the UK in the last 30 days.
So I would need to do something like take out a trial for Kids Pass, watch something like Spongebob Squarepants and cancel the trial so I could use the day/week pass while I was elsewhere in the EU. (or alternatively just get SFR Sport for 10 euro/month).

@Anonymous User It's a bit of both as it also states
As your NOW TV service is only for UK residents, roaming abroad is only available for 30 days at a time. After that, you'll need to confirm you're still a UK resident by watching NOW TV back in the UK before you can watch abroad again.
After you've watched NOW TV back in the UK again, you're free to start another 30 day roaming period next time you travel to any of the eligible countries listed above.

Sure but this isn't a chicken and egg scenario. You have to watch in the UK initially. So you have to watch kids/movie/ents/sports at least 29 days in the UK before you activate a day pass (23 for a week pass) abroad even if you applied the voucher whilst in the UK.

@Anonymous User Yep both apply.

My point is this is misleading as it implies you can watch up to 30 days abroad first. You can't. Even if you buy the pass in the UK. You have to watch in UK first before you can watch abroad. So applying your weekly pass using a voucher in the UK prior to activating it in France won't work unless you have watched something in the UK prior to travelling.
