Slow broadband

I’ve had my broadband for about 5/6 months now and the broadband speed is so slow.. 4.51 download speed. What can I do to help this? It’s really frustrating.

Below are some standard things you can and probably have done before calling the team.

Have you done a factory reset to the router indicated in the link below?

This link also shows any planned outages as well wide spread faults.

You need to call the broadband team. See link for number.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

I'm in the same boat as you @Kita I've been with now since August 23, and the service has been the worst I've had so far (previously with PlusNet, TalkTalk, EE) I get decent speeds during the day, but evenings are poor. will show 70Mbps daytime, but just now (7pm) I'm down to 2.5Mbps. I get buffering on iPlayer even music playing on Sonos cuts out sometimes.

I think I'm just going to switch provider and suffer the exit fee, which I'll attempt to argue. Just not sure who to switch to.

What package are you on with now?

What router are you using?

If WiFi is this on the 5ghz channels or 2.4?

To try and resolve speed issues you MUST connect via ethernet first and then run some tests from there
