Nowhub Ethernet keeps dropping connection

Had my box for 3 years. Now it keeps dropping the lan connection to my pc and ps5.

Tried new cables, same thing.

WiFi still works and the internet connection it's self doesn't disconnect.

Any ideas?

@Simon4

Below are some standard things you can and probably have done before calling the team.

Have you done a factory reset to the router indicated in the link below?https://help.nowtv.com/article/improve-broadband-speed

You need to call the broadband team. See link for number.

This link also shows any planned outages as well wide spread faults.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

@Simon4

I think that only leaves a faulty router as a possible explanation.

But @gavs82008 ‘s advice will cover that.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hi @Simon4

As a temporary test I would go into the NOW Hub Router webpage settings and disable IPV6 over Lan.

Also maybe try under the Ethernet settings on the Hub change to Fast Ethernet.

I doubt the above will make any difference especially if you had trouble free Ethernet connection for 3 years but worth trying.

Also I am assuming the NOW Hub is not overheating.
