Broadband not activated

Ive just switched to Now broadband and was informed via email that my broadband would be activate before midnight on 16/10. It’s now 17/10 and still no broadband. I was also told that there would be no interruption in my service. Is this kind of delay normal?

Unfortunately it does seem so lately.

I believe it's because Now is still using FTTC (copper cables back  to the cabinet) and Openreach, who do the physical swap, have run down the copper side in favour of the Full Fibre.

If it is a delay on the Openreach side, then your current provider should continue until Now take over, as long as you are allowing Now to manage the swap.
