Hi All!

December last year I bought a new Sony Tv (model KD32W800). Since I’ve had it, it’s been unable to find the now tv app. It’s no where in the store or on the device. But the NowTv app is on available on my parents Tv (KD43XG81).

I’ve looked all over the internet as to see why it’s not available. The Tv is new model (2021), has OS 10 and has the latest software version. I know for some of the newer TVs, Google play have to bring out new updates for applications to be compatible with the TVs. I see no information on when this update will come for this Tv or if it ever will.

can someone else me? I’m unable to watch Now at the moment other than on my parents Tv. Chromecast doesn’t work. My phone can connect to the Tv but it is unable to play the video and just stays on the ready for cast screen. I am assuming Chromecast is having issues due to the now app not being on my Tv.

If you go onto a web browser on your phone and search for the NOW app on the Google play store, does it give you the option to download to your TV?

Hiya, Thank you for your reply.

I can click the install button but it says no eligible devices. There’s a drop down after pick a device that says ‘Sony BRAVIA TL, this item is not compatible with your device) greyed out.

Sounds like it’s not supported.

According to the list of supported devices it much be Android Software on the Sony TV otherwise it’s not supported.

Only Sony Smart TVs running Android OS 8.0 or later are supported.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

thats where I get confused. My parents Tv has Android OS 9.0 and the app is available and working, whereas mine is Android OS 10.0. So I’m assuming a new update may be coming?
