So I contacted the now tv care team a while back to upgrade my broadband so that it is faster. They said that an engineer will come and sort something out to do with a green box within 10 days, however it has now been 10 days and my account still says "your broadband is changing" and the same speed as it was before I'm also getting charged the new more expensive price even though I'm not experiencing it.

Give the NOW Broadband Team a call tomorrow (use the telephone on this link page below).
They should be open either at 8am or 9am .

I am assuming you have gone into your online account under My Broadband & Calls > Technical Checks to see if your internet speed has improved even if it still says "Your Broadband is Changing" ?
Your best bet is to give the NOW Broadband Team a call tomorrow.
