New NowTv Black Box-unable to register

I have a new Now TV Black Box to replace a NowTV stick.

 

However, I can't register the box  on the NowTV site i.e, I  receive an error message which says 'Something went wrong at our end- please refresh  this page and continue'.  I have tried to reboot from scratch but get the same message every time. I would appreciate any relevant advice.

Me too this is a massive problem. Now Tv seem to be doing nothing to resolve it.

I am also unable to register a box which means I can't get the free month vouchers that came with it.

@Simon-J Had the same issue with my black now tv box since 27th June. Reported it case ref

Had no contact from technical support.

 

Tried 2 different black now tv boxes. Numerous resets. Keeps giving the below on my pc/tablet/phone when entering the 6 digit registration code from the TV:

Oops something went wrong

This is how I eventually did it.

 

This is to help YOU when you cannot activate a new Now TV BOX (eg 4k voice activated) or Stick against a current Now TV account. Basically when the Box or Stick asks you to enter the 6 digit code shown on the the screen eg 4jc567 at this Address www.NowTV.com. Then every time you do whether from a phone, tablet or PC you get get WHOOPS SOMETHING WENT WRONG and your stuck with a box or stick to use as a paper weight.

I strongly suggest you don't waste anytime like I did, 6 days talking to online help and waiting for technical to contact me with every excuse under the sun, try logging in from a different PC, phone, tablet resetting the box 25 times etc etc. Then telling me to return a perfectly working box to the supplier. The problem appears to be at their end; poor software affecting a very large number of accounts. In order to get your box to activate for the first time you will have to set it up with a totally new account new payment details etc. Then once the box is working change to your original account and cancel the new one. It sounds long winded; but its the only way to avoid weeks of disappointing support. I had to loose the free passes that came with the new TV Box they did not activate but it is now working with my original account. I hope this helps someone not to waste all the time I did, in hoping that, someone ,anyone at Now TV could solve the issue for me. They could and did not.

@Anonymous User You are an absolute legend! I now have a working black now box.

 

As Nigel said the problem must be something on my current Nowtv account preventing me from adding a new device using the 6 digit code on the TV. So instead I used that 6 digit TV code but with a different nowtv account (in my case an old account that doesn't have any current passes). The code was accepted and the laptop moved on to asking me to sign up for a pass. I just ignored that and clicked the proceed option on the TV. The Nowtv black box then went through a lengthy app update process. Once that was finished I launched the Nowtv app on the box and changed the account I was signed in with under the My Account option.
