Early termination charge, although cancelled broadband contracted within 14 days period?

Per my understanding from what I have been told and read is that if I cancel my broadband contract within 14 days of activation. I do not need to play early termination fees.

I cancelled and switched providers from Now TV way within the 14 day period and was sent an email when cancelled I would NOT be charged early leaving charges.

Now after nearly a month and a half, I have been sent a bill via email stating I need to pay £79 early termination fees for brilliant broadband as I cancelled my contract early - within the 14 day period. So why have I been charged?

Sounds like a possible glitch, but your right if it’s been cancelled within the 14 days no charges should occur.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

Thanks for the reply.

Was a hassle with getting in touch with them over the phone, but finally did.

For some reason, they had the wrong date of cancellation in their record. Glad, I had their email saved. Hence, managed to get the early cancellation fee waived.
