Card details present but no direct debit taken from my bank

Hi does now do direct debit payments? I have my card details on payment method, does it mean I have to do a manual transaction everytime?

So just as a point of clarity, are we meaning to say even my card details are set up correctly this doesn’t mean that it’s a direct debit but rather when I pay my bill that’s the card details they will deduct payment from right?

NOW don't use direct debit they will simply take a payment from your saved credit/debit card each time payment is due. There is no action necessary on your side you have already approved NOW to charge your card as and when required.

For reference when you set up a direct debit with a company this will be made clear and your bank account details will be required rather than a credit/debit card.

It’s a thing called a CPA (Continuous Payment Authority).

It’s very like a Direct Debit, but one which comes off a card, rather than direct from your bank account.

You have marginally less protection than with a Direct Debit, but nothing critical:-

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
