Billing issues

I signed up to a now entertainment membership on the 28th May which should be 6.99 a month, but there has been an attempted payment from my account last night from NOW, of 9.99. Not sure why I’m being charged as one: I’ve already paid for this month just a week ago and two: it shouldn’t be 9.99 but 6.99.

Sounds like you took the offer which include free trials of cinema and boost, which are then £9.99 and £6 unless cancelled.

Take any assumption staff will reply away now because they simply won't.

Don't use the bot, don’t ever select ‘Get Help Quicker’.

Follow the tried and trusted advice given by @gavs82008 in the posting above yours, and get to chat with a live person at Now.

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
