Overdue payment yet bill states paid

I recieved an email stating my bill is not paid and that I have 7days to pay this or my services will be cut off. It states on my account it was paid December 3rd. No bill due to January 3rd. What is going on?

Hi @Anonymous User

Strangely enough a number of people have reported this email sent to them recently.

Sounds to me to be an email administration error on nowtv's part if your payments and bank card is up to date.

Anyway to get reassurances from nowtv, you will need to pop over to live chat.

To reach live chat open the link below and click on the small blue arrow directly underneath How to Get in Touch to see the live chat button on your screen.

@debbiecrossland

That user does NOT work for NOW, neither does @RoyB or myself. See your up coming payments in your account.

FYI that I do not work for NOW, just a NOW customer trying to help

It may be a scam, designed to reveal your bank account details, or maybe just your NowTV account details, to a black hat bad actor.

Is there a link in the email to click, or anything else that might be the payload of a phishing attack?

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.
