You know, forum members
I love watching animated comic book movies, and even like watching the few comic book series that are on from time to time.
But, from time to time, the creative types like to try something new, which is generally hit or miss. When their new ideas work you have a great and satisfying piece of work but when the new ideas fail you have something that fans and critics alike both dislike.
On the whole, I believe that most of the DC animated movies are very (very) good, e.g. Justice League's Flash Point Paradox & Crisis on Two Earths, Batman's Attack on Arkham, Superman's Doomsday, etc. However, there are others where the story lacks that extra bite or have lost their super hero spark, those I won't name but I will continue to buy DC's animated movies.

Hi Casey
Reading through this thread and seeing Andy's Batgirl jpeg reminded me that I promised to give you my views on DC's Batman Animation movie, The Killing Joke.
Rather than a review, I'm going to give my impressions without giving away too much of the story or film's conclusion.
OK, I want to first say that the makers of this animated movie have substantially moved away from the original comic book story, the film's tone is now primarily Batgirl centric. The story is now about the relationship between Batman and Batgirl rather than Batman and the Joker.
However, the two primary antagonists (Batman and the Joker), the main features of the comic book and incidents are still in the movie but throwing in an unrequited love story was completely unnecessary.
If you like, you can watch the "Beyond the Trailer" review of the movie, which I substanstially agree with:
