I set up my box today and noticed in the Freeview section that BBC 1 and 2 are missing - the channels start with ITV. Scrolling through, I found BBC 1 HD and BBC 2 HD located after the Horror channel.
Ideally I'd like to have BBC 1 and 2 at the top of the EPG. Better still I'd like my regional BBC 1 and BBC 2 HD at the top of the EPG.
I can't see my local station or the non-HD versions listed anywhere in the channels found.
This box is replacing a BT YouView box which picked up the above missing channels.
Any ideas please?
Hi,
Woke up this morning and the option to watch live TV is missing from the home screen. Usually there is a screen with menu on the left side and right has app buttons, amongst them top left is 'last live tv' or something.
The menu options only has 'My apps, App Store, Settings'. All references to live TV are missing.
I tried to update TV channels which worked but did not fix.
Rebooted twice.
Noted that there was an update last night at around 8pm.
Sky and Now TV both working fine.
Other TV's in house recieving free TV no problem.
Any ideas?

As if by magic!
My TV Guide, Catch Up options have disappeared from the home screen!
I have tried reset and also a factor reset but they are still not there.
There does not seem to be any support from NOW TV regarding this, is this a common fault with this service or a software and or box fault?
Please can someone assist?
See instructions earlier in this thread for remote control secret options to force a software update from Version: 7.5.3 Build 4056 to Version: 7.5.3 Build 4057.
This fixed my freeview problems.

Hi @Anonymous User
Running a software update seems to be fixing this for most people if you want to try that out
Start by pressing your NOW TV remote control buttons in this order:
Home x5
Fast Forward x3
Rewind x2
Then click on update software and wait for this to complete.
Cheers
Hi There
I recently got a NOWtv Smart Box, when looking through the freeview channel listing there are channels missing.
DAVE, E4+1 would be the ones we have noticed
Just to be clear on the setup.... all i have done is move the aerial cable from the back of the TV which does have these channels to the back of the NOWTV box and done a scan.
Any advice on the issue appreciated..
They are clearly in no rush to sort the issue, complete joke really, if it goes on any longer then they should start refunding us the difference from the standard box or give us a months free service of every package as goodwill
Hi @Anonymous User,
How close is your WiFi router to your 'smart' box? It's signals might be swamping the 'smart' boxes tuner. Another thing to look at is the coaxial lead that's feeding your smart box. Is it double shielded?

...it still seems to point to the tuner in the box being the issue, perhaps it's not as good as a tv tuner or maybe a little more sensitive to interference.
Indeed, when you have a (DVB-T/T2) tuner located within the same box as a WiFi receiver/sender the shielding has to be spot on.
Good cable management is also important. Indeed, a birds-nest of cables curled-up behind your A/V devices can all generate interference

I moved it to the conservatory which is fed from the same booster and quite a distance from the router, I re-tuned and now get 179 channels so yup something with the cable in the bedroom me thinks, could possibly be the mac and a small network swhich in the room next to it?
cheers everyone for taking the time to respond.... I'll try something different upstairs.
