Switching devices

My NOWTV box had stopped working. I have tried everything, but cannot fix the issue. There is no power going to it at all. I was thinking of buying a NOW TV smart stick, and was checking to see if I can just add my current account to it?

Thank you for the help.

Unless you are in Eire, and possibly even there now, you can’t buy a Now Stick any more.

But the Now Stick was actually a modified Roku Stick, so you could buy a present-day Roku Stick, or the cheaper Roku Express, which comes in HD and 4K versions.

Or an Amazon Firestick would do the same job, though it has what I find to be a rather cluttered user interface.

I go into more detail here:-

It’s also worth checking if your TV, or another device you own, can bring you Now without you needing to buy anything else:-

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Hi @IanJ

I am guessing a full factory reset didn't help or testing the NOW box on another TV (even if the power light on the front of the box wasn't showing ?).

Your question about using your existing account on another supported NOW playback device or devices was answered on the other thread you started.

Because you mentioned Roku on the other thread and not a NOW Stick you have possibly found out that NOW don't sell either their NOW branded Stick or Boxes anymore and have been discontinued for around two years or so.

If going for a Roku I would look at either the mid range or higher price models if it was me.
