If I don't have an areial socket can I still use this box?

If you are using the smart box (see picture below) then you will be able to use all the internet Apps and NowTV streaming service on the box with the relevant NowTV passes with the exception of the Freeview TV channels where you will need a TV aerial connected to the box.

Yes it is a smart box.
