Tennis replays

Why are we not getting replays from night matches, instead it's matches involving the British players from days ago, they have lost, we don't want to watch it again, especially the US open that was won three years ago by the young British woman, I don't think value for money applies here where tennis is concerned, give it back to Amazon Sport they know how to do it!

Presumably because that's the deal Sky agreed with the rights holders and Amazon decided that they didn't want them any more.

You think Sky explained to the rights holders what a god-awful job they were going to do with the content?

And it wasn’t that Amazon said yes we want the content, but we aren’t going to pay that much for it?

And then the tennis people said well, OK Sky, we know this won’t reflect well on either you or us, but these $$$ signs in our eyes mean we are going to go for it?

Yes, you are probably right there…

Set a Payment PIN on your account so that no-one but you can buy memberships on it.
Check your bank accounts monthly for any other unexpected payments to Now.
That way you can at least nip them in the bud, while you and Now figure out whose fault they are.

Yep, that's pretty much how I imagine it. Apart from the god-awful bit, the rights holders are only interested in the money. They seem oblivious  to the reputational damage to their "product."

The problem with tennis is you have to devote a lot of resource in order to offer the extensive coverage that people want.  For a grand slam, that is up to 18 streams for each court and catch-up on all the games.  Given Sky/Now also cover other sports, it’s not feasible to do this unlike BBC who can do it for Wimbledon and Amazon Prime who did it very well for numerous tournaments.  Even with full blown Sky Sports on satellite/cable there isn’t catch up nor multiple streams.  I suspect the ATP/WTA negotiators were more concerned with how much they got rather than the actual coverage.

That written, there is a 24/7 tennis channel which if you are happy to accept the main game shown by the broadcaster is better than the BBC Wimbledon coverage which can suddenly change channel.

It could be better, but if was far worse when tennis was shown on Sky before when you had no idea if you would even get to watch the whole match before they switched to darts.
