Films and entertainment will not play!!

I am not impressed!

Haven't had Now TV for long but not I can't watch anything, films will play for a few seconds but then will stop and the same for box sets.

My internet is fine and other apps like Netflicks work absolutely fine.

If this is not resolved shortly I will be cancelling my subscription...

In the interest in collecting information: -

  • What's the make and model number of your NOW TV playback device?
  • How is your NOW TV playback device connected to the internet. Is it via a wired or wireless (WiFi) ethernet connection?

Sufficed to say, the more detailed information you are able to provide, the easier it will be for us and/or the NOW TV developers to work out a solution for you!

Hi

I've tried both on my ps4 using a wired connection and also my lg tv (not sure of model number) using wifi.

The service was working fine for a couple weeks but has not stopped.

My internet speed is fine and like I said other apps like Netflicks work perfectly.

If you haven't already tried this, it might be worth just turning off your devices including your router at the mains for 30s or so & switching them all back on again.  It can often sort this kind of issue in my experience.

I might be able to get your PS4 to play now TV content again I took this info from one of @Karl-Fs posts a while ago. I hope he doesn't mind. Smiley Happy after you've completed the steps try to watch now TV content on your PS4 again.

 

1. ADJUST RESOLUTION SETTINGS

1.    Go to Settings
2.    Select Sound and Screen
3.    Select Video Output Settings
4.    Select Resolution
5.    Set to Automatic


2. DELETE NOW TV APP AND DATA


1.    On PS4 go to TV/Video
2.    Select the NOW TV app
3.    Press Options on your DualShock 4 (Controller)
4.    Select Delete

1.    To delete the NOW TV data go to Setting
2.    Please then go back to System Storage Management
3.    Select Application Saved Data
4.    Select Saved Data in System Storage
5.    Highlight NOW TV
6.    Press OPTIONS on DualShock 4 (Controller)
7.    Select Delete

1.    To reinstall the NOW TV App go to TV/Video
2.    On the NOW TV App press X
3.    The App should re install

Thanks for the advice but this hasn't worked!

So hit and miss... Watched 2 films yesterday absolutely fine but then again today its struggling to play box sets.

Now Tv... Any idea or advice of what's wrong?

Hi,

 

I have subscribed to now tv for 2-3 months now and no films are loading. My internet is fine as able to wacth on other services.

 

What is the reason for this, wh can fix this and who can help.

 

I will cancel subscription soon if this is not resolveed - which is a shame since the films are good.
