Are you still being billed by your previous ISP if you switched ?
Was it Sky Broadband by any chance ?
For some unknown reason my Sister wasn't billed for the first month (apart from the Router delivery charge) and the live activation date was on the day agreed.
Though in her online NOW account under Bills & Payments it did show a double charge for the NOW Broadband in the second month.
When you go to your online account under Broadband & Calls is there any indication that your NOW Broadband is showing and assuming you haven't created two accounts i.e. one for TV Memberships and another for NOW Broadband.
