What's wrong with posting "Hi?" It seems perfectly friendly and acceptable to me. Nowhere is there an indication that the poster wondered about where the response may come from.

My expectation would be the purpose of the thread. To me ‘Hi’ is pointless, granted my opinion.
Outside of cancel my subscription, there is still no indication to what the user is referring to. Probably forgetting that NOW offer broadband and also TV streaming.
